Founder + CEO
Jeremy Ortiz, AIA, NCARB, CDT
Jeremy, founder and CEO of Archis Architects, LLC, received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of New Mexico in 2000 and is a licensed architect in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, California, Arizona, and Georgia. With professional experience in the field of architecture since 1999, Jeremy has built Archis Architects, LLC on the vast experience achieved over the years in both commercial and residential sectors of the profession.
During the formation and early years of Archis Architects, LLC, Jeremy had the benefit of being exposed to a vast variety of project types, sizes, and styles; all of which have contributed to helping him establish the company in a way that can adapt and provide quality service for nearly every project type.
Architect + Project Manager
Ashley E. Hartshorn, AIA, NCARB, CDT
Ashley, a licensed architect in New Mexico, received both her Master of Architecture (2012) and Bachelor of Science in Architecture (2011) from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge from her varied architectural and construction experience since 2007 in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida. Her work history includes the development of both new and renovation projects, historic preservation and rehabilitation, interiors and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) design and implementation, and construction administration. Ashley has a strong commitment to project organization and design and a passion for integrating her knowledge with the unique requirements of the Southwest landscape.
Ashley is also active in the architectural community. She currently represents the American Institute of Architects (AIA) New Mexico on the AIA National Strategic Council, after serving at the local (Santa Fe), state (New Mexico), and regional (Western Mountain) components. Ashley is also the Co-Founder of Canstruction Santa Fe.
Architect + Project Manager
Evan Berger, AIA, NCARB
Evan, a licensed architect in New Mexico, received both his Master of Architecture (2019) and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (2017) from the University of New Mexico. Evan's experience in the industry since 2017 has informed an immense amount of knowledge on building systems, project deliveries, and professional standards, and has a deep drive to continue to learn and grow as a professional.
Evan is also heavily involved with the local, state, and national efforts and organizations that surround the profession of the Architecture and Construction industries. He currently sits on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) New Mexico Board of Directors as the New Mexico Architects Licensing Advisor, a program set up through the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB) and appointed by AIA New Mexico after having served on the local AIA Albuquerque board as the Associate Director.
Project Manager + BIM Coordinator
Erika Hammer
Erika, a Project Manager and BIM Coordinator, received her Bachelor of Architecture (2010) from the University of Oklahoma, and since then has gained invaluable experience in high end residential architecture and construction management. Erika’s passion and knowledge of construction and design continues to grow and drive her professional career forward. Since 2018 she has shared her knowledge and experience as a BIM Manager, helping guide professional standards and build team knowledge and skills in the ever-growing world of building information modeling.
More than her role as a BIM and Project Manager, Erika enjoys being an active member of her local community. She also enjoys art, drawing, photography, and traveling as well as sharing these experiences and interests with her family and friends.
Intern Architect
Tyler Koehl, Assoc. AIA
Tyler, an Intern Architect for Archis Architects, received both his Master of Architecture (2023) and Bachelor of Architectural Studies (2021) from the University of Oklahoma. Tyler developed an interest in architecture from his love of art and technology. With his attention to detail, he drew and sold portraits throughout college and developed his eye for detail into realistic computer renderings of projects. Tyler plans to continue finding new ways to merge his interests and grow his abilities to serve communities across the globe.
